Last Session of 2011 {Buda Children’s Photographer}

In the past I have given photo sessions away to my friends.  This year I realized in order for my photography to work, I was going to have to charge my friends, even those who are very dear to me.  This was a hard decision for me, but the time and effort I put into my photographs is just too much to give away sessions all the time.  I’m very proud of this decision and wouldn’t change it, but it has been a little difficult for me. 

A friend of mine asked me in the fall to photograph her children.  In the past, her session would have been free.  But this time around all I could offer her was my 50% off to teachers discount.  Always teachers, ministers, and military receive 50% off their session fees.  At the time, we were unable to schedule a session.

Last week I got a phone call.  Someone had received a little extra for Christmas and wanted to spend some of it on photos of her children.  I was ecstatic.  Thankful to be able to give her someone she really wanted and still maintain our friendship and yet a business relationship as well, I’m happy to say the photos are just perfect!  And so my 2011 Photography Year ended with these beautiful photos of a dear friend’s kiddos.

I hope this makes up for the dreadful school photo she had taken.

When did this boy turn into a young man??

Apparently, someone likes the Longhorns.  I wonder if his parents know.  LOL

Wouldn’t be a perfect session without someone sticking out her tongue.
